We spent the morning rehearsing with Sean and Hollywood. All the girls were anxiously awaiting what the night would bring. We pushed through the long hours of practicing in our silver heels, enduring the pain on our feet. I just kept pushing through it because I know how important it is for the show to look clean and presentable. We went over the opening number, top 20 procedure, swimwear, top 10 procedure, and the crowning ceremony. It is very important to pay attention to the details otherwise you could end up lost in the dances.
Eventually we were sent off to our rooms to wait for hair and makeup. My roommate and I patiently waited until we heard the knock. Upstairs hair and makeup artists were spread out all over the room. I got a different makeup artist this time and she gave me a bold look to match my gown. She put a nice purple shadow as an accent on the under eye too. By the time we finished it was already almost showtime. Luckily, I’m one of the last girls so I had time to change into my swimsuit and gather my thoughts. Both my walks were alright, I felt confident and beautiful. I was so happy my family in Ontario could make it out and support me. I definitely felt the love.
